Donate eyeglasses and hearing aids to The Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany
The Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany partners with The Albany & Troy Lions Club to collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids. To you, they're not good for very much, but to others, they're a gift of sight and sound. We collect and reprocess the eyeglasses, and distribute them at no charge to the needy in developing countries around the globe. Your used glasses may provide an adult with the clear vision necessary to maintain employment or give a child the chance to stay in school. Used hearing aids are not part of our international program, but they help those within our immediate service area. We can always use more because the need continues to be critical in many places. If you've got old prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses or a hearing aid collecting dust in some drawer, we can use them, regardless of their condition.
Donations are being accepted at the Chamber office, 90 Fourth St., Suite 200, Troy, NY 12180 and at these locations.
