Community Loan Fund Announces Full Slate of Fall Small Business Workshops

Calendar includes QuickBooks, Marketing, Financial Wellness, and Legal classes

 

The Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region will present 10 new workshops for entrepreneurs this fall. The organization, which has been providing small business training for minority- and women-owned businesses since 2001, has launched a new slate of free workshops aimed at boosting efficiency and using new technology to enhance performance. All workshops will be delivered virtually via Zoom to improve access.

 

The Community Loan Fund will also kick off its latest 8-Week Small Business Planning Course on September 18. The training course covers business basics for new start-ups, including financial management, sales forecasting, and strategic marketing. The course is delivered via Zoom on Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm. The cost is $240, but scholarships are available for income-eligible individuals. Liquor License Workshop and Q and A with Attorney Alexandra Becker - Obtaining a liquor license is required if you wish to sell or provide wine, beer, or liquor. The application process has been simplified, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t many notice requirements and a lengthy application form.
