Community Care Physicians, P.C. Announces Addition To Its Radiology Division

-- Community Care Physicians, P.C. (CCP) announced that Schenectady Radiology, a medical imaging group comprised of 12 radiologists, has joined ImageCare Medical Imaging, the Radiology division of CCP.

Effective January 7, 2019, Schenectady Radiology and its two outpatient imaging facilities in Niskayuna and Guilderland will now be ImageCare Balltown and ImageCare Guilderland. Radiologists will continue to serve the patient and physician communities, maintaining their same locations and expert staff, just under a different name.

“The addition of these well-respected radiologists allows ImageCare to further expand services to patients in Schenectady, Clifton Park and Albany, and deepens our relationships with the physicians in the region,” said Joan Hayner, Chief Operating Officer of Community Care Physicians, P.C. “As one network with shared electronic records, primary care and other referring physicians within CCP can easily access patients’ imaging reports from radiologists, expediting care for the patients. Additionally, our radiologists now provide imaging services for Ellis Medicine, including the Nott Street, McClellan and Bellevue Women’s Care campuses.,This expansion of our clinical integration model enhances communication between hospital-based and ambulatory care physicians, ultimately benefitting our patients with streamlined processes and the highest standard of medical imaging.”

ImageCare’s newest radiologists have been longstanding members of the imaging community and include: Michael Burke, MD, Sasi Cheruvu, MD, Joseph Pazienza, MD, Areta Pidwerbetsky, MD, Sara Raymond, MD, Bradford Ruthberg, MD, Judith Ruthberg, MD, Marvin Schwartz, MD, Juho Song, MD, Won-Hong Ung, MD, Eric Wagle, MD, Gary Wood, MD. With the addition of these newest locations, ImageCare now has locations in Clifton Park, Delmar, Guilderland, Latham, Niskayuna, North Greenbush, and Saratoga and is the most subspecialized radiology group in the Capital Region.

Dr. Gary Wood, neuroradiologist and former senior partner of Schenectady Radiology said “Schenectady Radiologists are confident that joining Community Care Physicians will enhance our ability to care for our patients, and to actively participate in the type of clinical integration of heath care services that is necessary for all of us to achieve the goals of excellence in patient health outcomes, patient experience, provider experience, and providing high value to our patients, hospital systems and payers. We truly look forward to working under the leadership of CCP and their efforts to improve healthcare in the greater Capital District area.”

“ImageCare has been a part of this community for a long time – since 1984 when CCP got its start as a small radiology practice,” said Ms. Hayner. “We look forward to continuing our tradition to enhance the radiology services for patients and physicians in the Capital Region and surrounding areas.”
