Christopher Feml, Owner of Christopher Brian Salon, Recognized As Honorary Chair

Christopher Feml, Owner of Christopher Brian Salon, will be recognized as this year's honorary chair at enCourage Kids 2nd annual “Stir Crazy” event at Brown’s Revolution Hall on Friday, February 2nd, 2018. Next Friday’s event brings back casino style gaming, Brown’s famous food, wine & beer bar, silent and live auction. enCourage Kids will also present this year’s 2018 Community Partner Award to Albany Broadcasting.

The annual event benefits the enCourage Kids Foundation by raising dollars to to make programs and "escapes" for over 4,000 families spanning from the Capital Region to the Canadian border, who have a child living with a critical or chronic illness possible. enCourage Kids proudly offers our "kids" and their entire family outlets to have fun, smile and a break from the demands that complex medical issues bring into their daily lives. "Stir Crazy is an evening created for those of who are going "stir crazy" in these winter months and have fun and support our terrific Foundation,” says Rainbow Doemel, Manager of Development at enCourage Kids, and also, an enCourage Kids parent. "With the purchase of a single ticket (only $75) guests have access to bid on a number of unique and exciting auction items, play their best hand at our gaming tables, and dance to music played by Fly 92's Jake Allen.” Dollars raised at each Stir Crazy event are then funneled back into the local community, providing services in local hospitals and to families who are managing the challenges day to day. Last year’s event raised $29,089 which attributed to outings for more than 1,500 children and their families. This year’s donation goal is $40,000. “Your attendance at this event truly does makes a difference, and the fun we are able to offer is cherished by our families.”
