Chazen’s Survey Department Expands in Poughkeepsie



Chazen is excited to welcome the addition of two new employees to its expanding Land Surveying team at its Hudson Valley office located at 21 Fox Street in Poughkeepsie.

Michael Parrella, PLS has joined the company as a Survey Crew Chief. Parrella is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of New York and lives in Staatsburg. He graduated from Paul Smith’s College of Arts and Sciences with an A.A.S. in Forestry/Recreation. Previously, Parrella was a Senior Land Surveyor for the New York State Department of Transportation where he was responsible for delivery of acquisition maps and surveying activities that were necessary to meet the region’s capital program.

Mark Heinsman has joined Chazen as a Project Surveyor. Heinsman graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Music and earned an Executive Certificate in Negotiations from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to Chazen, he worked for WPS USA, Inc. as a Business Development Lead and Supervising Project Manager for the New York Metropolitan Region, and a Local Project Operations Manager for the Northeast Geospatial Division. Heinsman resides in Hopewell Junction.
