CDTA promotes Jaime Watson to Director of Corporate Communications

The Capital District Transportation Authority is proud to announce that Jaime Watson has been promoted to Director of Corporate Communications. In this role, Watson will be responsible for managing and implementing CDTA’s communication strategy, including both media and community relations. She also serves as the Authority’s spokesperson. Watson previously held the title of Communications Manager.

“Jaime has been a significant asset to CDTA over the last four years,” said Carm Basile, Chief Executive Officer of CDTA. “She has done a fantastic job of communicating to the public all of the great services that CDTA has to offer and played a key role in CDTA recently being named the Best Mid-Size Transportation System in North America by the American Public Transportation Association. We are lucky to have her as a part of our team.”

Watson brings a well-rounded depth of experience to her new position with CDTA. She served as Director of College Relations for Clinton Community College, before returning to the Capital Region to serve as the Regional Director of Communications for the American Red Cross. Prior to that, Watson spent nearly 10 years as a television news anchor and reporter with what is now Spectrum news in the Capital Region. Jaime joined CDTA in 2014.
