Capital Region Living Magazine Invited to Lake Como
Vikki Moran, Publisher of Capital Region Living Magazine recently visited the Grand Tremezzo Villa in Lake Como, Italy as the only travel journalist representing upstate NY. The trip, at the request of the property, was to showcase the newly renovated hotel and the surrounding area to leading travel writers. Mrs. Moran was joined on the trip by writers representing The Boston Globe, Travel + Leisure, The New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler and Architectural Digest and others. Mrs. Moran was selected to represent Upstate New York publications based on the quality, content, and regard of the magazine.
A source tells CRL that the magazine is the premier life and leisure publication in the area and the investment made in hosting the magazine on the trip was a direct cost of accessing the emerging growth market north of NYC.
The article was featured in an issue of Capital Region Living Magazine on Mrs. Moran’s Blog The Grateful Traveler. The Grand Hotel Tremezzo property has done something no other Lake Como property has done - they now manage Villa Sola Cabiati, a historic Lake Como landmark. Villa Sola Cabiati, the beloved summer residence of the Serbelloni Dukes, has passed to the Counts of Sola Cabiati and their heirs through marriage, but until now it had not changed hands since opening in the 1500s. The Villa will be used to host elaborate weddings, romantic dining experiences and exclusive events reserved only for guests of Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Mrs. Moran experienced the grandeur of this Villa during the trip.
