Capital District YMCA and HMA Contracting Announce Holiday Partnership

As the holiday season quickly approaches, the Capital District YMCA has announced a continued partnership with the 'Caring Community Basket Brigade.' The initiative was started by HMA Contracting in 2016 with the goal of providing underserved and needy families across the Capital Region with a means to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal.

Since 2016, the Caring Community Basket Brigade has gone on to feed 725 families across the Capital Region. This year, the initiative is aiming to feed 750 families. The group is seeking both monetary donations or individual food items that can be used in the Thanksgiving baskets. Monetary donations can be made at any of the YMCA locations across the Capital Region. In addition, online donations can be accepted by visiting http://cdymca.org/basket-brigade/

The cost to fill a basket full of a complete Thanksgiving meal for a family of four totals just $50.
