CAP COM Cares Foundation, CDTA, and Hannaford Join Forces to Deliver Holiday Meals for Thanksgiving
CAP COM Cares Foundation is proud to partner with Hannaford Supermarkets and CDTA to feed over 400 families this Thanksgiving. Our friends at CDTA will drive the program by helping us assemble and deliver meals directly to those in need throughout the Capital Region. The program is a wonderful example of community collaboration, which is important not only during the holidays, but throughout the entire year. Thanks to our generous partners, donors and community for helping us deliver joy to families this holiday season!
On Friday, November 22, CAP COM President and CEO Chris McKenna, along with CDTA CEO, Carm Basile and employees from both CAP COM and CDTA helped assemble and pack Thanksgiving meal bundles, for distribution the week of November 25. Distribution will be the mornings of Monday, November 25, Tuesday, November 26, and Wednesday, November 27. Hannaford Supermarkets donates all the non-perishable food including stuffing, gravy, and canned vegetables, as well as bread and pies. The CAP COM Cares Foundation fundraises throughout the year to purchase fresh turkeys from Hannaford. CDTA will help drive all meals to participating recipients including several schools and nonprofit organizations that have expressed need this holiday season.
For the past seven years, CAP COM Cares Foundation has been running the Sharing the Harvest Thanksgiving program.
