BST & Co. to host webinar on the benefits of Multiple Employer Plans for small businesses and self-employed individuals



ALBANY, New York, September 1, 2020 – BST & Co. CPAs, LLP, one of the Capital Region’s leading financial and management consulting firms, will host a webinar about the benefits of Multiple Employer Plans for small businesses and self-employed individuals on Wednesday, September 16 at 10 a.m.

Authorized under the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act of 2019, unrelated small businesses now have the opportunity to team up to provide employees with a retirement savings plan defined as a Multiple Employer Plan.

During the webinar, BST & Co. Senior Advisor Robert Canterbury will discuss the benefits and features of Multiple Employer Plans, as well as how small businesses can come together to establish one. Canterbury will also provide an overview of cost components and potential tax advantages for employers.

“Multiple Employer Plans are a great and cost-effective option for small businesses to offer their employees the benefit of a retirement savings plan,” said Canterbury. “These plans come with many advantages for small businesses, especially when it comes to taxes.
