Albany Law Firm adds partner and changes name to Conway, Donovan & Manley, PLLC
Albany, N.Y. – Albany law firm Harris, Conway & Donovan, PLLC has promoted Ryan E. Manley to partner and renamed itself Conway, Donovan & Manley, PLLC.
The full-service litigation firm was originally founded in 2003 and focuses on advocating in legal matters and representing clients in complex commercial, personal injury, and other litigation proceedings.
A former assistant district attorney and state assistant attorney general, Manley joined the firm in 2016, bringing with him experience and success litigating on behalf of the government in civil and criminal matters throughout the State of New York. His practice now focuses on plaintiff personal injury cases, commercial litigation, and defense of state employees. He has tried and argued cases in New York Trial and Appellate Courts, as well as all four New York Federal District Courts and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
”Ryan came to us after a stellar career in public service and in the past five years has built a practice upon his reputation as a zealous advocate and fighter for his clients. He is well respected in the legal community as a litigator and we are happy to name him as a partner with the firm,” said the firm’s managing partner, Michael Conway.
In addition, Nicholas L. Zapp has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Prior to joining Conway, Donovan & Manley, Zapp worked at a prominent Albany law firm and spent three years at the New York State Attorney’s General Office as an assistant attorney general in the Litigation Bureau. His practice focuses on advocating for injured clients and representing businesses in commercial claims in state and federal court.
Robert J. Tietjen joined the firm in November of 2021 as counsel. Tietjen spent nearly 19 years at the international firm Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, where he represented corporate and commercial clients in a wide range of contexts, including government civil and criminal investigations and antitrust matters; he has both prosecuted and defended complex civil actions. Tietjen was brought in to assist with complex commercial litigation and appeals.
“The growth of our law firm is a reflection of the solid trust and relationships we have with our current clients and creates an opportunity to create new client relationships as well,” said Manley.
