Alaant Workforce Solutions Expands Recruiting Expertise With Addition of Seasoned Executive Tom Schin
Alaant Workforce Solutions, the leading professional workforce services firm in New York’s Capital Region, today announced the appointment of Tom Schin as Director, Talent Acquisition Partnerships & Recruitment Consulting Services. In adding a seasoned executive with a proven record of success and strong history of leadership, Alaant further expands the expertise it provides to help employers attract, acquire, engage and retain premier professionals.
In his newly created role, Schin will oversee and grow Alaant’s Talent Acquisition Partnerships, or TAPs. Through these flexible, on-demand staffing solutions, Alaant staff spearhead an organization’s recruiting efforts – either working independently or with an existing HR team – and save businesses time and money while securing a top-notch workforce.
Schin will also lead Alaant’s recruitment consulting services, building a team of talent acquisition experts to assist employers in strategic areas, such as developing an employer brand and establishing an effective recruiting process, and with tactical guidance, from evaluating applicant tracking systems (ATS) and executing virtual onboarding to providing training on interviewing and due diligence techniques.

Schin brings more than 15 years of recruiting industry experience, all in Capital Region offices. Most recently, he spent 11 years as Client Relations Executive at AccuStaff, where he created and implemented strategic and tactical staffing and marketing plans to guide talent acquisition. Prior to that, he served as Certified Area Manager for Select Staffing, leading and managing daily operations and recruiting efforts across three branch offices.
A recognized leader in human resources and business trade associations, Schin previously served as President of the Capital Region Recruiters Network. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Capital Region Human Resource Association and Malta Business Associates.
