Alaant Workforce Solutions Acquires Capital Tech Search, Expands Expertise and Services in Technology Space

Alaant Workforce Solutions, the leading professional workforce services firm in New York’s Capital Region, today announced it has acquired Capital Tech Search, one of the region’s premier technical placement firms for more than 20 years. The acquisition expands the services Alaant offers to help employers attract, engage and retain technology professionals – particularly to meet rising demand in the software development sector – while also providing full-service solutions to existing clients of Capital Tech Search.

The acquisition brings together two companies that share a passion for building long-term relationships with employers, as well as a commitment to excellence in serving clients and candidates. The combination of Alaant’s recognized strength in recruiting IT professionals and Capital Tech Search’s expertise in filling software development roles establishes Alaant as the region’s go-to firm for hiring technology professionals – not only for tech firms, but also to support the needs of companies in health care, financial services, and a host of industries.

“We are thrilled to enrich the expertise and resources we provide to assist companies in hiring, engaging and retaining top-notch technology professionals,” said Miriam Dushane, Managing Partner of Alaant Workforce Solutions. “With demonstrated know-how, a robust network, and impeccable reputation built under Susan Lundberg’s leadership over more than two decades, Capital Tech Search is a perfect fit with Alaant. We look forward to delivering additional value to serve the technology workforce needs of existing and future clients across multiple industries.”

Founded in 1999 by Susan Lundberg, Capital Tech Search has assisted startups, small- and mid-sized companies in filling a variety of technical positions, including software and web developers, programmers and engineers. She will remain with Alaant in a consulting role, sharing her technology recruiting expertise with Alaant’s professional staff, before eventually dedicating more time to the NY Tech Loop, a nonprofit association serving the region’s software community that she started in 2018.

“I have been approached by interested companies in the past, but Alaant is the first one that checked every box,” said Lundberg. “Miriam Dushane and her team are committed to creating long-term relationships, passionate about providing exceptional service, and dedicated to delivering results. They are exactly the type of firm I’m proud to be associated with, and I’m delighted we will be moving forward as part of the outstanding Alaant brand.”

With enhanced capabilities, Alaant will pursue new opportunities to grow its business by helping companies hire technology professionals, both within the tech sector and across nearly every industry that employs tech workers. Additionally, Alaant can offer a full range of workforce solutions to those employers, from Talent Acquisition Partnerships to Employer Brand Strategy, adding further value to the companies it serves.

Over the past decade, Alaant has helped more than 400 Capital Region companies attract, acquire, engage and retain over 4,000 elite employees. It has been honored for three consecutive years by Forbes as one of America's Best Recruiting Firms, for four straight years with the Best of Staffing® Client Award and Best of Staffing® Talent Award, and by HR Tech Outlook as one of the nation’s Top 10 Employer Branding Consulting/Services Companies for 2019.
