Airline To Offer Nonstop Flights Between Albany, Myrtle Beach
A regional airline will begin offering nonstop flights between Albany and Myrtle Beach, S.C., on April 5. Elite Airways, with a fleet of CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 regional jets, will offer service on Thursdays and Sundays, with fares beginning at $199 one-way.
There is no fee for the first checked bag up to 50 lbs. or for oversized golf bags. Tickets went on sale Wednesday.
"Elite Airways is pleased to start service in Albany this spring as we believe in the market and appreciate the support we've received from New York area passengers, as well as city and airport officials," said John Pearsall, the airline's president.
"Elite Airways' non-stop service will be welcomed by scores of Capital Region families that annually visit the Myrtle Beach area and by our legion of golf enthusiasts that relish the warmth of Myrtle Beach to extend their season," said Rev. Kenneth Doyle, chairman of the Albany County Airport Authority.
