A Child's Place has opportunities available in our Special Education Department for Full-Time School Calendar, Part-time and Substitute Special Education Teachers.


Assess the needs of young children with special needs in the Preschool Special Education classroom.

Address educational and behavioral needs based upon individual children’s using knowledge in evidence-based practices.

Adapt behavioral plans accordingly.

Work supportively in a multi-disciplinary team for the advantage of the entire classroom.

Work collaboratively with all staff and administration to benefit the needs of all the children.

Perform student assessment and evaluation required.

Promote a classroom of inclusion and diversity.


Bachelor's or Master's Degree and certification in Students with Disabilities Birth to Grade 2, new graduates will be considered. Proficient writing and computer skills, ability to support behavior plans. Must have reliable transportation, Valid NYS driver's license and acceptable driving record as determined by our company's liability insurance policy.
