$2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

There is an exciting opportunity to work with young children with special needs in Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education classrooms. The Special Education Department at A Child’s Place has full-time and part-time positions available. A Child's Place at Unity House is a program where all children are cherished and are encouraged to learn and grow together.

Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to: working in a supportive multi-disciplinary team, performing student assessments and be able to support behavioral plans generated.

Please make sure you have: Bachelor's or Master's Degree and certification in Students with Disabilities Birth to Grade 2, new graduates will be considered. Knowledge in evidence-based practices needed. Proficient writing and computer skills a must. Must have reliable transportation, current NYS driver's license and acceptable driving record as determined by our company's liability insurance policy.

Unity House is a Rensselaer County-based human service agency that provides a wide range of services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in our community who are hurting and struggling. We assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays. We work to achieve social justice in our community and to create a better understanding of those we serve.
