Part-Time Outreach Van Advocate
This Outreach Van Advocate will be part of the team responsible for the operation of the agency’s Outreach Van program in Rensselaer County.
The successful candidate will be able to:
• Provide direct engagement, service triage, and advocacy services to unsheltered persons and those enrolled as Coordinated Entry clients.
• Provide hospitality & advocacy to formerly unsheltered persons currently staying in Joseph’s House & Shelter’s Emergency Shelter.
• Serve as a primary contact/support for previously unsheltered persons as they transition from homelessness to permanent housing.
• Provide follow-up services to Coordinated Entry clients placed in Permanent Housing to help ensure housing stability and prevent re-entry to homelessness.
A valid Driver's License--with a clean driving record is a must.
All candidates applying for this position must have the ability to work a non-traditional, flexible, and varied work schedule. Saturday and Sunday, 9am-3pm are mandatory. Days and times during weekday business hours are flexible--up to 12 hours.
