BST & Co. CPAs, LLP, one of the Capital Region’s leading financial and management consulting firms, will welcome business professionals to learn about the benefits of outsourced accounting during a webinar on Wednesday, August 12 at 11:30 a.m.

During the 30-minute webinar, BST & Co. Partner Kristen Berdar will discuss how outsourced accounting can streamline business operations. Berdar will also detail how a team of consultants can eliminate errors associated with manual accounting methods and provide quick access to key performance indicators.

3-Year Statewide BOCES Contract for College and Career Readiness Initiatives Awarded to Passport For Good through Erie 1 BOCES



Passport For Good was recently awarded a statewide contract through Erie 1 BOCES to provide college and career readiness support to school districts throughout New York state. This 3-year cross-state contract for the New York State Contract Instructional Technology Contract Consortium allows Western New York Regional Information Center (WNYRIC), a division of Erie 1 BOCES, to offer Passport For Good to the 28 BOCES and their respective component school districts.

CAP COM Announces VP of Member Services, Carin Urban



 CAP COM Federal Credit Union has hired Carin Urban as the credit union’s Vice President of Member Services, overseeing CAP COM’s 11 branches, as well as its Member Contact Center. Urban will develop and lead programs to strengthen member experience and service delivery. She brings more than 25 years of retail banking management experience to the position, and will report to Susan Rosko Fogarty, CAP COM’s Chief Relationship Officer.  

Questar III’s Sarah Morrison Named New York ASBO’s Advocate of the Year



Sarah Morrison, senior state aid planner at Questar III BOCES was named Advocate of the Year by the New York State Association of School Business Officials (NYSASBO). The award is presented to an individual, organization or company that has demonstrated a deep and lasting commitment to advocating on behalf of public schools and an understanding or appreciation of school fiscal issues. In 2018, she received the George A. Perry Volunteer Service Award, presented to a member of ASBO who demonstrated outstanding volunteer service and commitment to the association and its chapters.

SEFCU Collaborates with Google to Offer Members Digital Bank Accounts

Carbone Subaru in Troy Shares the love with Vanderheyden by presenting a donation of $31,501 as a result of the Subaru Share the Love Event. Russell Sage College and Rubin Community Fellows Program Announce More than $41,000 in Funding for Projects in Rensselaer County



Russell Sage College and the Louis and Hortense Rubin Community Fellows Program have announced four projects selected to receive grant funding for 2020-2021.

The Rubin Community Fellows program funds cooperative projects between higher education faculty members and not-for-profit or government agencies in Rensselaer County. This year, all of the partnering faculty members are from Russell Sage College.
