Look no further. 518 ElevatED is a nonprofit organization based in Albany, NY whose mission is to provide specialized programs, mentoring, professional guidance, and academic and financial support for qualifying high school students. By assembling a network of business leaders, educational advocates, and dedicated volunteers, promising youth are provided opportunity and access to higher education that may be otherwise unavailable.

518 ElevatED is currently seeking a Program Assistant whose primary responsibilities are to provide administrative support to the Program Coordinator through planning and implementing educational programs. Duties include communicating between program participants and staff, assisting in planning program events, after-school sessions, special programs and other organization-wide events, and electronic filing of student documents.

An associate degree is preferred, with at least one year of experience working in an office or youth-related program. The successful candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, able to work on multiple tasks/projects, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable talking on the phone. Experience with Microsoft Office is required. This position also requires access to reliable transportation to work offsite. We are looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm and energy to this new position and has a passion for working with high school and college students. This is a non-exempt position with a 37.5-hour work week. The pay range is between $16-$17/hour, depending on experience, and includes benefits.
