Administrative Assistant for Foster Grandparent Program

Want to make a difference? Come join, CEO’s Foster Grandparent Program. The program has been in operation at CEO since 1976, which today serves four counties including Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady counties. The program serves over 100 seniors annually throughout eastern New York and serves hundreds of children each year.

Responsibilities:

· Will provide administrative and office management support for the Foster Grandparent program to include screening incoming calls, assist walk-ins, mail and file maintenance

· Manage electronic records and CAP60 volunteer database

· Collaborate with staff members to collect, process and ensure all new and re-occurring volunteer documents are processed efficiently and effectively

· Actively assist with the development of materials designed to communicate program information and assist with volunteer training and events

· Provide support services to program volunteers

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· An interest in working with the program’s target population

· Experience in administrative and Human Services or related field

· A clean and valid NYS Driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle is required

· Excellent attention to detail and organization and communication skills required

· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required

Preferred qualifications
In addition to the above:

· Associates degree in Business or Office Administration or related field

· Experience working with the older adult population
