Sunmark Federal Credit Union Recognized Worldwide For Excellence in Information Technology

Sunmark Federal Credit Union announced that it is a recipient of the 2017 CIO 100 award. Each year, CIO identifies and honors 100 organizations worldwide that have distinguished themselves by creating business value through the effective and innovative use of IT. Sunmark is the only credit union in 2017 to receive this honor.

Sunmark was nominated for this award based on new hardware and software technology developed in support of our Omnichannel strategy to deliver Sunmark’s suite of financial services across all delivery channels. Sunmark developed an Interactive Teller Machine solution that provides full service banking transactions for Sunmark members, as well as ATM transactions for non-members, in a fully integrated self-service kiosk platform. Help and support for members using the new technology is provided in person at the branch and through remote video tellers that are centralized at our Member Solution Center in Latham, NY. The Interactive Teller Machine solution is currently available to Sunmark members at Sunmark’s Rotterdam, NY location with plans to expand the technology to new and existing branches in the Capital Region.

Sunmark VP/CIO of Information Technology Darryl Enfield said “The Sunmark team is honored to be recognized by CIO for Sunmark’s innovative use of IT, benefiting our members with a convenient and easy to use self-service banking platform that is available 24/7. The companies with which we share this recognition are among the best brands in the world. Sunmark is proud to be recognized as a leader in innovation, as we continue to bridge the physical and digital worlds to enable the delivery of a common set of member services, with a consistent member experience, across an integrated set of delivery channels; to any device, at any time, and from any place.”

“Technology innovation and business value have always been at the heart of our CIO 100 awards, which honor the IT organizations thriving on the front lines of the digital revolution,” said Maryfran Johnson, Editor in Chief, CIO Events. “This year’s winning companies are outstanding examples of how IT leadership, business collaboration and customer engagement are shaping the future.”

Sunmark CEO Frank Degraw added “Our mission at Sunmark is that we work together, achieve excellence and create value to enrich the financial well-being of our members. Being honored with this award and recognized for our member focused technology, confirms that the Sunmark team is working hard for our members and continues to succeed in turning our mission into a reality.”
