Nearly 400 Alumnae to Celebrate Russell Sage College Reunion 2017



The Sage Colleges will welcome approximately 400 alumnae to the Russell Sage College campus on Fri., June 2 and Sat., June 3, 2016 to celebrate Reunion 2017.

The event, which marks the beginning of Sage’s second century, is the last reunion for Susan C. Scrimshaw, Ph.D. as president of The Sage Colleges. Scrimshaw last year announced she would be step down on June 30, 2017.

Noon - DEDICATION OF SCHRIMSHAW HEALTH SCIENCES HALL (formerly Ricketts)

Home of Sage’s Occupational and Physical Therapy programs, the Scrimshaw Health Sciences Hall recognizes Sage’s ninth president. The building improvements, which began during the Centennial Year, included updates to the second floor and interior facilities systems. More recently, the project focused on first floor interior updates and windows, as well as façade and landscaping renovations extending to the neighboring Manning Hall. The $100,000 improvements are the result of gift contributions from many alumnae and community members to honor Scrimshaw’s nine years of leadership and service to Sage.

Location: Congress Street - Directly across from Sage Park.

1:30 p.m. - PARADE OF CLASSES

Alumnae wear their class colors and show their Sage spirit while marching down a closed First Street behind a spirited marching band.

Location: First Street between Division and Congress (starts at McKinstry Courtyard, heads north, and ends at Bush Memorial Center).

3 p.m. - CENTENNIAL CAMPAIGN DONOR RECOGNITION DEDICATION

An unveiling of Sage’s Centennial Campaign Donor Plaque celebrating the generous lead donors who contributed to the $60 million fundraising initiative, the most successful campaign in the history of The Sage Colleges.

Note: The unveiling will immediately follow the Annual Alumnae Gathering and Gift Celebration.

Location: Bush Memorial - corner of Congress and First Street.
