Joseph's House & Shelter Donation Drive

You can help by organizing a “drive” for items we always need.

Every year offices, faith communities and social groups, as well as neighbors and friends, donate thousands of items for our guests’ needs. Toiletries, especially toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant are always in demand ( we hand out 1,000 toothbrushes a year!). Disposable diapers, baby wipes, socks for children and adults, and school supplies are also on our wish list. Powdered drink mix (Tang, ice tea, lemonade, etc.) and coffee are very much appreciated. Every Fall, we restock linens ready for the additional guests of our two cold weather programs: Code Blue and Inn from the Cold. Single sheet sets, blankets and towels - new or gently used, and new pillows are much needed as the weather turns colder. Food and snacks are always welcome.

Call the Ferry Street Emergency Shelter at 518 272-2544 if you want to know what we have a need for at any particular time, or stay in touch via our social media pages where we put urgent requests as they arise.
