The Samaritan Counseling Center is hosting a special presentation: Is Timothy’s Law Enough? on May 6 at the Italian Community Center of Troy from 5:30-8:30 pm. Timothy’s Law is named after Timothy O’Clair, a Schenectady boy who completed suicide in 2001, seven weeks prior to his 13th birthday. Timothy was denied the help he needed because his insurance plan provided minimal coverage for his treatment. Treatment became very expensive when their coverage ran out. There is a critical need in Rensselaer County for mental health services for people who are uninsured or underinsured. We think you can make a difference in Rensselaer County just by knowing who we are. To attend the event, or for more information, please contact the Samaritan Counseling Center at 374-3514 or office@samaritancounselingcenter.org
