Community Resource Federal Credit Union Earns Top Fundraising Honors At The 21st Annual Capital Roots Gardenbowl

Community Resource Federal Credit Union employees raised funds and participated in the 21st Annual Garden Bowl for Capital Roots on Saturday, January 26, 2018. The fundraiser, held at Uncle Sam’s Lanes in Troy, helps the nonprofit organization support its food access programs including 51 Community Gardens, the Veggie Mobile, Healthy Streets and Squash Hunger.

Community Resource FCU was the top fundraising team, donating more than $1900 for the charity. Employees raised funds through weekly dress down days, a donation from the Employee Charity Committee and donations from CRFCU Board Members. Supporting Capital Roots has been a longstanding partnership for the CRFCU team.

The Garden Bowl is an annual event for the organization and members were pleased to have another record breaking year, raising more than $10,000 on Saturday from local supporters.
