SmartUp, a program designed to help small businesses start up and succeed, is accepting applications for its next class. Applications are due by Friday, August 13 for the fall session, which begins Wednesday, August 25.
A comprehensive, educational business course, SmartUp is offered to entrepreneurs in the regional business community who want to gain insight and practical instruction about starting and growing small businesses. Ten weekly seminars are led by experienced local business experts who bring a “real world” view into the classroom. Students explore topics such as Writing a Business Plan; Legal Issues; Insurance; Sales; Bank Financing & Accounting; Marketing & Public Relations; Real Estate; and Human Resources. These critical topics deliver the essential knowledge you need to know to start or grow a successful business.
SmartUp is presented by the Chamber in partnership with Rensselaer County Economic Development & Planning. All-inclusive cost is $275 per person.
