The game will raise funds to help support American Cancer efforts. Bethlehem High School takes on Guilderland High School at 4 :30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, and is followed by Troy High vs. Christian Brothers Academy at 7:30 p.m.

The University of Chicago chose TVHS to be one of 20 schools nationwide to participate in a study of inclusive STEM schools. Students will complete a 30-minute survey about their education for the study, which is being funded through the National Science Foundation.

Another milestone for the NY CAP Research Alliance is slated for Wednesday, April 24. The Inaugural NY CAP Research Alliance Symposium will be held from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS) Auditorium, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy.

It will bring together biomedical researchers, policymakers and stakeholders to welcome two internationally recognized researchers, and share its progress toward building a new cooperative translational medicine research model in New York State’s Capital Region.

The Fence Show is an annual opportunity for all Arts Center members to display their work in our galleries. Artists can submit work from May 1 through May 4. This year the Fence Salon will be on display from May 18 - June 16, 2013. Last year, 115 pieces, including paintings, drawings, fiber arts, sculptures, and more, were accepted and displayed.

Tech Valley High School® students traveling to Haiti next month on an earthquake recovery mission have sold sponsorships for 80 percent of the trees they plan to plant in the impoverished country.

SAGE Computer Associates initiated the SAGECares Community Support Program in 2010, and each year SAGE chooses five arts organizations and five social service organizations to provide funding to. SAGE Computer Associates will contribute $7,000 to ten local charities, with more than 1,600 people voted for their favorite non-profit. The two Grand Finalists, Epilepsy Foundation Northeastern New York and WAMC Northeast Public Radio, will each receive more than $2,000.

Tech Valley High School is now trademarked property of Questar III and Capital Region BOCES. The trademark status protects the name and helps ensure its sole use is for the regional public high school, which is located at the University at Albany East Campus in East Greenbush.

Tech Valley High School students will compete in the annual Odyssey of the Mind competition March 2 at Shenendehowa High School.

The Albany Devils are scheduled to play Springfield at 5 p.m. on January 5, Binghamton at 4 p.m. on January 6. Both games will be played at the Times Union Center.
